From the tee box, you
have a great view of the entire city of Missoula and the magnificent
mountains. This hole plays straight and down hill. The fairway, as
all are on this course, is narrow. A poor shot left from the tee
gives you an excellent chance of hitting a roof or a window of a
house. A large fairway bunker the right side can cause problems. The
green is a good size. If you can drive the ball in the fairway
on the first hole this is a good par hole. |

This is the longest
par four and probably the most difficult hole on the course. The tee
box sits in front of a small pond that shouldn't come into play.
You'll be tempted to want to hit your drive straight, but if you do
that, you'll end up out of bounds and retrieving your ball from a
yard. This is a very tricky hole to drive on. There are a couple of
large trees that can cause serious problems if you aim at the green.
You can't see the green from the tee. This hole goes downhill,
similar to the first hole. The green is also similar to the first
but has more undulation. |

This is the shorter
of the two par 3's on the course. Some very nice houses lie just to
the right of this hole. Sand traps are placed on each side of this
large green. Remember, just because you're on in one doesn't
guarantee a birdie or even a par. Putting on this green is
difficult. |

Houses lie on each
side of the fairway. This hole requires a straight drive. If you hit
it towards the right rough, you're risking hitting a large fairway
bunker. Also, an approach shot from this area is very difficult as
several large trees block the shot. If you're lucky enough to get it
over the trees from this area, you risk hitting into a large sand
trap that sits on the right side the green. Try to hit it on the
front of the green, so you don't leave yourself with a difficult
downhill putt. Also, there isn't a lot of room for error if you hit
your approach long. A city street sits about 10-yards behind the
green. |

Dog leg right! A
long, narrow water hazard lies about 160-yards along the right side
of the fairway. There is a nice landing area on the fairway to aim
for. This hole is somewhat difficult to reach in two if you're
not a long driver. The green is small and sits lower than the rest
of the hole. Large sand traps sit either side of the green. The
green is narrow and is very hard to read. |

This
hole plays longer than it looks. Big trees separate the fairway from
the No. 5 fairway. Large sand traps lie on both sides of the green.
If you hit the right club and get on in one, this is a good par hole
but the sand does wreak havoc. Also, don't forget out of
bounds behind this hole. |

A long driver can
reach the green in one. It's a risky shot though, since you can't
see the green from the tee box. Aim straight to get it up on the
hill and you'll leave yourself a wedge to the green. Houses lie on
both sides of the fairway. The same city street that came into play
on the 4th hole could cause problems if you hit over the green.
Note: You walk up a
steep incline and across a street as you head to the No. 8 tee box.
This is not a long walk, but it isn't fun either. |

This is a dogleg
right and you see the sunken green from the tee box. One of the
longest sand traps in the state sits on the right side before the
dogleg. Try and hit your drive straight towards the far left of the
corner of the dogleg. Then you're left with less than 120 yards. The
approach shot you hit from high above the green. It's a fun shot!
The green is fairly big. |

Not a fun hole to
walk. This one is quite a hike. A small pond sits about 50 yards off
the tee box, but shouldn't come into play. Large houses line the
left side and the No. 1 fairway lines the right side. A large fairway
bunker lies in between No. 9 and No. 1 and could come into play if
you tend to push your drives. This hole is difficult to hit in two.
The green is elevated and it's hard to gauge distance from your
approach. If you slice your approach you could end up in the
clubhouse or in a large pine near the green. The green is large and fairly flat.
